• Undercutting — Natural stone slabs are often uneven, sometimes by as much as 1/8". We backgrind the underside of the stone to make sure the joints are even.
• Underside finish — We backgrind the exposed underside of overhangs to create a gorgeous polished finish.
• Seams — Limitations on the natural stone mean that most large surfaces will have seams. We use fabrication equipment that creates perpendicular joints that are free of saw marks. You'll only see a small seam formed by the bevel on the top edge of the pieces. Whenever possible, we create a flush seam.
• Sink cutouts — Since the sink cutout is one of the most visible parts of your new stone countertop, it's important that it be absolutely perfect. With an undermount sink, the cutout needs to match the sink shape exactly and have a consistent overhang (or reveal) relative to the top of the vertical walls of the sink. We use equipment that gives us a precise cutout with no bumps, lines, or divots.
